Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

Healthy Budget is a personal budgeting and cash-flow forecasting app provided by Hardaway Labs LLC (“Hardaway Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Locust Grove, Georgia, USA. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. Because Healthy Budget handles financial information, we keep our data practices deliberately narrow and transparent.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service:

  • Account information. Your email address and authentication details used to create and secure your account.
  • Financial data. When you connect a bank through Plaid, we receive read-only account balances and transactions. From these we derive and store your recurring bills, budgets, and cash-flow forecasts. We never receive or store your bank username or password.
  • Diagnostics and usage data. Limited product-analytics and crash-reporting data (such as app events, device type, and error reports) that help us understand how the app is used and fix problems.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide budgeting, balance tracking, and cash-flow forecasting.
  • Detect recurring bills and income and project your future balances.
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve the app.
  • Communicate with you about your account or important service changes.

We do not use your financial data for advertising, and we never sell it.

Bank Connections via Plaid

Healthy Budget uses Plaid Inc. to securely connect to your financial institution. When you link an account, you enter your bank credentials directly with Plaid — the Healthy Budget app never sees or stores your banking login. Plaid provides us with read-only access to your account balances and transaction history.

We cannot move money, initiate payments, or make any changes to your bank accounts. Plaid’s handling of your data is governed by Plaid’s own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. You can disconnect a linked account at any time, and you may also revoke Plaid’s access through Plaid’s portal.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal or financial information, and we do not share it for others’ marketing. We share data only with the service providers (subprocessors) needed to operate Healthy Budget:

  • Plaid — secure bank connections and transaction data.
  • Supabase — hosted Postgres database and authentication where your data is stored.
  • PostHog — product analytics and diagnostics.
  • Sentry — crash and error reporting.
  • Apple — app distribution and, if you subscribe, subscription billing through the App Store.

These providers may process data only on our behalf to deliver the service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or Hardaway Labs.

Data Retention

We retain your account and financial data for as long as your account is active so the app can provide accurate balances, history, and forecasts. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your associated data from our servers, as described below. Backups and logs, if any, are purged on a rolling basis in the ordinary course of operations.

Your Rights and Account Deletion

You control your data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app at Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account, connected-account references, and stored financial data from our servers.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, or export your data. To make a request, contact us at hardawayhealth25@gmail.com.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls that scope each user’s data to that user, and read-only bank access via Plaid so that no one — including us — can move your money. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

Children's Privacy

Healthy Budget is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Healthy Budget after an update means you accept the revised policy.
